1) Understand the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival, related customs, and festive treats.
2) Learn to appreciate traditional Chinese culture.
Activity Introduction:Through the “Mid-Autumn Festival” interactive theater and game booth, children have learned about the Mid-Autumn Festival’s origin, customs, and festive treats, besides experiencing the joyful atmosphere of the festival together.
Event: Lucky Loong Year Celebrates the New Year

Activity objectives:
1) Understand the origin, significance, related customs, and celebrations of the Lunar New Year.
2) Learn to appreciate traditional Chinese art.
Activity Introduction:Through traditional Chinese dance performances, the interactive theater “Celebrating the New Year with Different Ethnicities,” the STEM activity “One Sound of the Dragon Bamboo to Sweep Away the Old Year,” the art activity “Setting Off Fireworks,” traditional toy experience activities, and tasting traditional Chinese snacks like dragon’s beard candy and seasonal foods, we aim to deepen the understanding of Lunar New Year and Chinese traditional culture for children and parents, while enjoying a joyful Chinese traditional New Year Festival together.

Event: National Day celebration event
Date: 9.2023
Activity objectives:
1) Understanding the origin of National Day, knowing that October 1st is National Day, a day celebrated by the entire nation.
2) Cultivating in young children a sense of national identity and enhancing their sense of belonging to the country.
Activity Introduction: In the form of a story, introduce young children to the origin of National Day, the celebratory events, the national flag, and the national anthem. Additionally, conduct flag-raising ceremonies to instill in children respect for and adherence to the etiquette of such ceremonies.
Event: Dragon Boat Festival celebration
Date: 6.2023
Activity objectives:
1) Understand the origin, significance, and related customs of the Dragon Boat Festival.
2) Learn the skills of wrapping rice dumplings.
Activity Introduction:Through stories and games, children have learned about the traditional customs of the Dragon Boat Festival. In addition, the school invited parent volunteers to the school to teach the children the skills of making rice dumplings. The children shared and tasted the rice dumplings with their peers at school on that day.
Event: Lucky Rabbit Celebrates the New Year
Date: 1.2023
Activity objectives:
1) Understand the origin, significance, related customs, and celebrations of the Lunar New Year.
2) Learn to appreciate traditional Chinese art.
Activity Introduction:Through traditional Chinese dance performances, “Nian” interactive theater, Wing Chun experience, and game booths, including making red banners and citrus handicrafts. The children and the parents had deepened their understanding of the Lunar New Year’s traditional Chinese culture and spent a happy New Year together.
